新法規(guī)的實施對所有商標(biāo)申請人和注冊人提出了一項新的要求:1)以電子方式提交商標(biāo)申請以及商標(biāo)申請的后續(xù)文件和注冊文件;2)提供可用于每一件商標(biāo)申請接收USPTO信函的電子郵箱地址并需要保持其有效;以及3)提供并始終保持有效的一個準(zhǔn)確的住所地址,作為USPTO在電子郵箱地址不能正常工作情況時聯(lián)絡(luò)申請人的備份。
On July 31, 2019, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) issued new Rules and Regulations under Title 37 of theCode of Federal Regulations (CFR) Parts 2, and 7. They take effect on December 21, 2019.
The impact of the rule, as implemented, is a new requirement for all trademark applicants and registrants to: 1) electronically file trademark applications, subsequent documents concerning trademark applications, and documents regarding registrations; 2)provide and maintain a working e-mail address for receiving correspondence from the USPTO for each trademark application and registration; and 3) provide and maintain an accurate domicile address as a backup for the USPTO to contact ifan e-mail correspondence address fails to work.
